Hi, I’m Iuliana, a UX/UI Designer based in Brussels.
I’m passionate about creating digital experiences that are not only visually appealing but also intuitive, inclusive, and accessible.
I focus on designing and developing modern, responsive interfaces that prioritize user experience, usability, and accessibility.
My work blends creativity with strategy — ensuring every project is functional, user-centered, and aligned with the client’s goals.
I also had the opportunity to participate in a hackathon, where I earned recognition for projects centered on Inclusivity, Accessibility, and Digital Marketing.
My technical toolkit includes Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, WordPress, and HTML/CSS, which I use to transform ideas into clean, elegant, and user-friendly designs.
With a strong sense of empathy and a client-oriented mindset, I bring a balance of creativity, clarity, and precision to every project.
Curious by nature and adaptable by design, I’m constantly exploring new tools, trends, and design systems to create impactful user experiences that connect people and brands.
Explore a selection of my recent UX/UI design projects — from mobile applications to creative web concepts. Each project reflects a unique approach to solving real-world problems through simplicity, usability, and strong visual identity.
A UX/UI case study on digitalizing traditional Belgian sports. Centralizing results, referees’ tools, and communication.
A minimalist productivity app designed to help users organize daily tasks with clarity and efficiency. Focused on clean UI, smooth interactions, and intuitive task management.
Before diving into design tools, I start with research and observation.
I explore the problem space, analyze user behaviors, and study how similar products solve these challenges.
I use AI-assisted research and benchmarking to uncover insights, trends, and opportunities — not to copy, but to build smarter and more meaningfully.
At this stage, I apply UX research methods such as competitive analysis, heuristic evaluation, and user interviews when possible, ensuring a deep understanding of both users and context.ing of both users and context.
“Good design begins with understanding, not sketching.”
Once the research is complete, I translate insights into personas, user journeys, and user flows.
Each persona reflects a real motivation, frustration, and goal — helping to design with empathy and purpose.
The user flows clarify how people navigate the product and where friction points may appear.
I rely on UX laws like Hick’s Law (simplifying choices) and Fitts’s Law (reducing effort) to make interactions feel natural and efficient.
“Design with empathy, structure with logic.”
With the foundation set, I move to concept sketching — quick drawings that explore multiple layouts and interaction ideas.
Then, I create low-fidelity wireframes to define structure, hierarchy, and navigation before worrying about colors or style.
This stage is about clarity, flow, and usability.
It’s where creativity meets logic — transforming ideas into tangible user experiences.
“The best ideas often start with a messy sketch.”
Once the structure feels right, I bring the design to life through high-fidelity mockups in Figma.
I refine typography, colors, and components to achieve both aesthetic harmony and functional precision.
Interactive prototypes allow for early feedback and testing, ensuring that the interface is not only beautiful but also accessible, responsive, and intuitive.
Throughout this step, I balance UX psychology (like the Aesthetic-Usability Effect) with a clean, modern UI system that aligns with the brand’s identity.
“Details create trust — every pixel tells a story.”
Design is never final.
I constantly test, refine, and adapt based on feedback, ensuring that every iteration brings more clarity and value to the user.
Whether it’s improving accessibility, simplifying a flow, or enhancing consistency, iteration turns good designs into great experiences.
“Iterate until it feels effortless.”
